HOW CAPTURED KNOWLEDGE MAY BE USED

Start with a clear workforce and operating purpose.

Captured trade knowledge may support knowledge continuity, workforce learning, supervision, robotics planning, evaluation, or deployment preparation. The permitted use should be specific, documented, and understandable to company leadership and the people performing the work.

01

How can captured trade data be used?

The permitted use depends on the program. Captured examples may help a company preserve operating knowledge, improve workforce learning, define quality standards, evaluate a new workflow, or prepare people for supervised use of intelligent systems. When a robotics use is included, the same records may support task understanding, system evaluation, or deployment preparation.

02

How is each recording approved for use?

Some recordings may be incomplete, unsafe, technically unusable, outside the approved scope, or valuable only for review. A defined acceptance process determines what is retained, what is recaptured, and what is excluded. Each downstream use should follow the company purpose and written permissions.

03

Why record decisions and corrections?

The visible motion is only part of skilled work. Experienced practitioners notice early warning signs, choose among several acceptable actions, adjust to changing conditions, and recognize an almost-correct result. Capturing checks, corrections, and stop conditions can be as important as capturing a clean demonstration.

04

Who decides whether the work is represented correctly?

Technical review can determine whether a recording meets the delivery specification. It cannot, by itself, determine whether the trade work is safe, realistic, and correct. A responsible program includes qualified trade review and records known limitations or disagreements rather than hiding them.

05

Who may receive the data?

Access should follow the approved program chain. That may include SkilledMotion, authorized capture or storage vendors, the defined buyer, and reviewers who need the material to perform their role. A participant should be told which categories of organizations receive the data, how it is transferred, and whether subcontractors are involved.

06

Can it be reused for a different project?

Not merely because the file exists. Reuse, sublicensing, model development, evaluation, publication, marketing, or transfer to another party should be governed by the permitted-use language in the applicable agreements. A new purpose may require new authority or a new agreement.

07

What role do tradespeople have as technology advances?

Practitioners help define the work, the quality standard, the exceptions, and the limits of safe operation. Their knowledge can shape workforce training and the evaluation, supervision, deployment, and escalation practices surrounding future systems. Specific roles and outcomes depend on the company and the evidence from real work.
