Purpose before capture.
The task, permitted use, acceptance standard, storage path, and people authorized to participate are defined before recording begins.
Authority at every link.
Buyer, employer, site controller, participant, and vendor permissions must align. Participation is documented for the actual scope rather than assumed from access.
Collect only what the program needs.
Audio is off by default. Incidental people and identifying details are excluded or redacted where required. A change in safety, privacy, authorization, or operating conditions pauses the work.
Provenance stays attached.
Transformations, exclusions, custody transfers, review decisions, and known exceptions remain connected to the delivery. Storage, access, transfer, retention, and deletion follow the approved scope.
Operating principles do not replace approved agreements.
Every production program requires its own agreements, authority chain, safety plan, privacy terms, storage path, insurance allocation, and evidence requirements.
